MaxiVita Omega 3 - cod liver oil
Print page
Cod liver oil originates from fish living in cold seas, such as the shad, mackerel, salmon, cod, and sardine. It contains essential unsaturated fatty acids, which your system cannot create on its own. These acids play a key role in a number of metabolic processes in the human body. Cod liver oil has a positive impact on the level of blood lipids (cholesterol, tryglicerides), has an anti-inflammatory effect, and prevents thrombosis (blood clots). This positive impact prevents infarction. Cod liver oil is recommended for, among others, high blood pressure, rheumatoid arthritis, decalcification of bones, and eczema. Cod liver oil is also used to counter weight loss, asthma, chronic fatigue syndrome, and several other indications.
Insufficient amount of Omega-3 fats in the human body is reported to cause various problems and insufficiencies, which affect the function of organs, the heart in particular.
